Currently we offer Texas Exotic Hunts for Axis Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, and Fallow Deer. We will soon offer Eland, Scimitar Horned Oryx, Red Stag, and Sika hunts as well. Exotic hunts will either be conducted in a hunting blind in one of our Tank blinds, spot and stalk hunting, or safari style hunting; whatever the client prefers. Trophy exotic hunts in Texas include a 3-day 2-night stay in the Texas hunting lodge bunkhouse and suppers are provided.
Axis Deer are native to India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Axis deer are extremely cautious and elusive, often making for a challenging and rewarding exotic hunt. Axis deer are hunted in a multitude of ways such as spot and stalk, safari style, or out of a hunting blind. Axis deer have a yellowish-brown coat covered in spots with a brown streak down their back. Axis bucks are muscular, and their antlers grow up and out with typically three points per antler, this is an amazing trophy animal. Axis meat is considered to be the best tasting of all wild game and a very tender meat. Axis buck hunts will be 26” +

Blackbuck Antelope’s native home is India and Pakistan. They are a small Indian Gazelle and are considered to be one of the fastest animals in the world. That coupled with having amazing eyesight makes for a challenging exotic hunt. As male blackbucks mature, they turn from tan to black, hence their name. A males blackbuck horns spiral upwards in a V shape. Female blackbucks are tan and lack horns. Blackbuck Antelope prefer more open areas where they can see well and when alarmed they hop a few times before running off to a full sprint. Blackbucks make for a great spot and stalk exotic hunt but can also be taken with other methods. Blackbuck Antelope hunts will be 17” +.

Fallow Deer are native to Europe, Asia, and Iran. Fallow deer can carry an impressive set of pal-mated and branched antlers. Fallow deer vary in colors from chocolate, white, and spotted. Male fallow bucks have a massive Adams apple which they use in the mating season to make a very loud and deep grunt. Fallow deer are calmer than whitetail and axis deer. They are difficult to follow and pattern due to the great distances they travel, making for a great spot and stalk exotic hunt. Fallow meat also tastes phenomenal. Fallow deer hunts will be for trophy Fallow bucks.

Elands are the world’s largest antelope species, often weighing more than 2,000 pounds. Both male and female Elands boast sets of horns that tightly spiral upwards. The female Eland’s horns tend to be longer and thinner while the bull Eland’s horns tend to be shorter and thicker. Elands are native to southern and eastern Africa and can trot almost indefinitely as they are a migratory species. Elands are fawn or tawny colored when they are younger. When Elands reach maturity, they become gray or even black. Elands produce lots of good tasting meat.

Red Stag are native to Europe, Anatolia, Iran, and parts of western Asia. Red stags are one of the largest members of the deer species with red stags weighing 350 -530 lbs. and hinds weighing 260 – 370 lbs. A red stag’s antlers can grow up to forty-five in length and the 4th and 5th tines create a distinctive cup or crown. Red stag is closely related to the North American elk. The meat of a red stag is exceptional and tastes good. Red stags are cautious and offer a challenging exotic hunt.

Scimitar Horned Oryx are native to northern Africa and are now extinct in the wild. Although scimitar horned oryx are extinct in the wild, they have done very well in captivity and are now widespread throughout the world and are considered a conservation success story. The male scimitar horned oryx weighs between 310 and 460 lbs. and the females weigh between 200 and 300 lbs. Scimitar Horned Oryx’ have a white coat with a red chest and long sweeping horns. Oryx are very tasty animals and offer a challenging exotic hunt.

Sika Deer are native to eastern Asia and is commonly known as the Japanese deer. Sika deer do not lose their spots and can range in color from mahogany to black and sometimes white. During the winter, sika deer coats get shaggier and longer and the males develop a mane around the backs of their necks. Sika males weigh up to 95 lbs. and are delicious eating. They can be hunted from a blind, spot and stalk, or safari style.

Hogs are an invasive species that have taken solid root in the southern U.S. and have proliferated throughout Texas. Sows breed once every 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days and will breed again soon after they give birth. Wild hogs can weigh as much as 500 lbs. in the wild and commonly weigh up to 350 lbs. The sows and piglets are good eating where the boars are less desirable. Wild boars can grow large sharp tusks which can make good trophies and cool skull mounts. Hog hunts will be blind hunts by day and spot and stalk with a thermal by night.
Hog hunts are $350 per day for unlimited hogs.
Game care will be provided on site and prepared for travel. The client will then transport the animal to the processor and taxidermist of their choice.
A $500 deposit is required to reserve your whitetail deer hunting dates. Deposits are non-refundable, however, if something prevents you from hunting your scheduled dates, we will reschedule up to one year from your original dates if we are notified in writing 30 days prior to your scheduled hunt date.
